Welcome to the website for the Dean & Chadlington Summer Music Festival. The villages of Dean & Chadlington lie nestled in rolling hills to the north of the Evenlode Valley not far from Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds. The festival brings first class music into venues of unique atmosphere including beautiful churches and stately homes in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. This year, in the spirit of diversity, the festival is taking a completely different form. We are having one gala event in the extraordinarily beautiful surroundings of Ditchley Park, a magnificent stately home outside Charlbury and only a few miles from the home of the festival in Dean & Chadlington. Exact details are still being finalised but we are delighted to welcome back to the festival the most successful British soprano of her generation – Amanda Roocroft and also a British opera star of immense international renown, the tenor Paul Charles-Clarke. The hugely energetic London Tango Quintet also return to the festival this year following their sell out 2008 festival recital. Young Serbian accordionist Milos Milivojevic stunned audiences with his incredible virtuosity last year so don’t miss his performance this year. Festival regulars Craig Ogden, Claire Bradshaw and Richard Coxon will also make an appearance and we are thrilled to have as our pianist for the evening, Ingrid Surgenor – one of the most sought after repetiteurs in the UK who is also the pianist for the Cardiff Singer of the World competition.
